Antique Kazak Rug 5'2'' x 6'7''. This high pile, SW Caucasian scatter show the characteristic winged, green Sewan village pattern. Red field with polychrome "trees" at medallion points. Central red hexagon with ivory conforming inner motif. Ecru border with strip style herringbone/arrowhead polychrome border. All wool construction, moderate/coarse weave. Saturated natural dyes. One of the most striking and recognizable of Kazak types. Good condition.
